নতুন শহরে খরার চরে ঝলসে-

গেছে না জানি কত মুখোশ।

স্বল্প কিছু ঋতু প্রহর চিনিয়েছে,

ভেজাল কাঁটাতার বন্দর।

ঠুনকো প্রতিশ্রুতিরা বাসা বাঁধে শীতে,

বৃষ্টি হয়ে ভিজে যায় মেকআপ নগর।

হুলোর ডেসিবেলে মত্ত হওয়ার পর-

খুলে দেওয়া পকেট শুকিয়ে যাবে খরার প্লেটে।

জীবনের ক্যালেন্ডার পাল্টে যাবে,

দুধারে পড়ে রবে ভেজাল ও র্নিভেজাল পথিক।

অগ্নিপরীক্ষায় কে ফেল-পাস,

হলো বলে দেবে সময়।

তীব্র তাপমাত্রার পারদ ভেঙে,

বৃষ্টি হয়ে নিভে যায় স্রোত।

Joly Tarafder, born in 7th September 1993, is from West Bengal, India. She started her writing journey in childhood and poetry is her meditation, reason to live and her love. She writes in Bengali poems, lyrics, biography, sheyari and also does recitation. She completed her Higher Secondary in arts but after that she did not complete her Graduation degree for some other battle. She is active in social work and YouTube. She works in various little magazines in India and Bangladesh. 'Chhaya Chakra' is her first own poem book she will launch in June.
