FESTIVAL DEL SOLSTICIO brought to you by Sidera, proyectos de Arte was held at the Parque Clorinda Matto de Turner, Miraflores in Lima, Peru on June 22, 2022 with a Solar-inspired theme coinciding with the Summer Solstice. The event was organized by Rebeca Dorich and participated in by 60 Visual Artists coming from Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, Mexico, Peru, Croatia, among others.
I am honored to represent the Philippines and have my artwork “The Sun of the Orient” displayed at the open-air exhibition among the works of my fellow International Visual Artists. The various artworks depicting elements from the culture of each artist were designed to be eye-catching coloring sheets. My design depicted a “Sarimanok” which is a local symbolic image here in my country.
The art exhibition is a first of its kind project by Rebeca Dorich in cooperation with Sidera, Proyectos de Arte centering on solar-inspired pieces exhibited in an open-air park in Lima, Peru. A beautiful art exhibition and at the same time, spectators and participants enjoy communing with nature amidst greeneries and fresh air.
