Unforgiveable Culprit by Naheed Akhtar

O’ the self!

Being hanging a little in the rear

Like a child unwrapping chocolate bars

Preoccupied with fanciful curls

Of nuts sweet

With the pleasant corners of the mouth

In the invaluable walk

It was a crime-

Of negligence not innocence

Ignorance is punishable

And it deserves no mercy
