Dwellers of the Ages by Sankha Sen

The moment I saw the ages…

Instincts wove all the needs, perplexed and awed…

The odour of arduous settlers,

spiced with ingredients of life

Safety at stake, wilderness enraging the remnants of existence…

Life saving support hardly hinders the failures of the immune…

Today, a heritage it may be…

A small past amongst modernity…

Life and death wrote many unwritten verses

Artificial touch prolonged indeed the span of life…

Fluctuations of outbursts barely left the ocean of emotion

Prehistoric dwellers survived on hope…

Hope to strive, hope to exist…

Untold stories lie hidden within the stilt houses…

Neolithic settlements excavated from the Bronze and Stone Ages

Barely speaks one truth…

Desires travel through Ages…

Dwells through periods …

Off the roads, resides the bruise of memoirs…

Colors of the faded past, traveling right through our souls …

Piling and dwelling in dots and spots…

Ask them to reside and fuse in the waters of eternity !
