poem by Anna McEnulty

how do i open

so gently, gently

the moon takes the sea

the clouds take the sun

flowers fold old weary heads

i close without you

the rain carries luck

stars exploded for just us

so gently, gently

so gently, gently

the clouds take the sun

i close without you
