Humans and nature are half-brothers of the same origin

Mountains, rivers, plants, birds and beasts are our blood kin

The earth is the mother of all beings, never a resource for unbridled exploitation

Wildfires and global warming stem from human greed

We once ignored the agony of withered vegetation and dried-up rivers

Only when flames ravage our homes do we hear the lament of all living things

Dongba culture advocates boundless love and empathy for every creature

Restrain desire, revere nature, and break the cycle of recurring disasters

A human being experiences two births

The first is the birth of the physical body

The second is the awakening of the soul within compassion

The phoenix achieves rebirth after tempering in blazing fire

Charred land is not an end, but a prelude to awakening

Do not wallow in sorrow amid the scorched ruins

Become love itself, nurture compassion and spread love onward

Even amid the desolate ash-covered wasteland
