Netted and beached by Rajit K. Sahu

Tomorrow will be redundant and reminiscent of today

As is today of yesterday: the past

The beaches shall still shiver with the waves

Wondering about the ocean vast

Anchored in your thoughts and netted

By some entanglements of emotions

I lie as handicapped as a turtle

Trapped in a fishing net without motion

Just like it I dream of the lovely sea

That like love is vast and true

Stretching from my existence into the unknown

From the hard sands to the unfelt blue

Before I abandon the thoughts of a free love

And collapse into my shell; bereft of desire

Could you just free me from these threads

That I again can relax and respire!
